I began my dental journey at Bart’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, simultaneously serving in the Army Reserves with the University of London Officers Training Corps. Yes, teamwork runs in my veins.
However, the early stages of my dental career were challenging. Despite my dedication and countless hours spent on CPD/CE courses, I felt something was missing. The predictability and confidence in my work eluded me.
Then, in 2018, I stumbled upon the Greater Curve® Matrix System. The transformation in my work was profound, but my growth was stunted, relying only on YouTube tutorials without real mentorship.
Fortune smiled in 2020 when I heard Dr Dennis Brown, the genius behind the Greater Curve®, on my favourite podcast. His four decades of experience resonated with my struggles. Reaching out to him was the best decision I made. Our mentorship blossomed, and my career trajectory shifted.
Inspired by the leaps in my skills under Dr Brown's guidance, I transitioned from general practice to launch my own restorative referral service. It was unbelievable to me that I was now able to tackle any restorative problem I was faced with.
It quickly became apparent that the Greater Curve® and our techniques were too ground breaking to keep under wraps. Together with Dr Brown, we crafted a hands-on training program, aiming to equip dental professionals worldwide with this revolutionary tool. Thus, in 2021, DRE - Direct Restorative Excellence was born.
Our vision? To enable dentists/therapists to operate seamlessly, efficiently, and stress-free. With our unique restorative framework, issues like subgingivals, overhangs, voids, and open contacts become a thing of the past.

Inventor of the
Greater Curve® System and Technique
Dr Dennis Brown, a Vietnam war veteran, earned his DDS degree from Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1977.
In 1992, Dr Brown transitioned from amalgam to composite using sectional Matrix systems. However, he faced challenges with class 2’s and MODs. His composite restorations sometimes lacked the natural appearance of teeth. Issues like open contacts and the complexity of subgingival restorations often disrupted his day. Driven by these challenges, he sought a more efficient solution.
By 1996, he had developed the first Greater Curve prototype. Initially, he envisioned it as a tool for his personal practice, not anticipating its global impact.
Dr Brown's inventive spirit led him to refine his creation. Over the next decade, he patented three designs suitable for any direct composite restoration - Class 2, 3, 4, 5, onlay, veneer, and more. His innovations garnered attention and acclaim from dental professionals across America.
In 2006, responding to the growing demand, he established Greater Curve LLC, introducing the world to its first universal matrix system. With just three primary band designs and innovative techniques, Dr Brown revolutionized the field.
Fast forward to 2021, after mentoring Dr Sunny, the duo collaborated on the DRE Composite Course. Their shared vision: to equip dentists and therapists with the Greater Curve, transforming their approach to dental restoration into a seamless and effective process.
